Report a player....
Hey GW community....
Well...I finally got a group that was willing to farm the Queen...but get this...
A guy by the name of "name omitted" was the only guy left alive. A GOLD SWORD had been dropped by a Scarab, reserved for me. Guess what....he refused to rez me so that HE could get the sword.
How do I report such players?? And wtf is up with this game???? Is there THAT many a-holes that you can't even trust anyone anymore!???
Sigh...I'm extremely pissed off right now....

Guildwarsguru rules prohibits you from posting people's in game name without their permission.
Reporting takes place at GuildWars.com/support not here.

There is nothing to report. Yeah the guy was an asshole but he didn't break any rules.

Edit your original post and take out their name. You are not allowed to post it.
Also, there's very little you can do about it. Yes, the guy was a jerk, but he didn't technically break any rules. Support will probably not do anything about it. (Unless you get real creative on what you're telling them.)

Yes he didn't technically break any rules, but it's against the spirit of the game -- like the lamers dancing on the Mad King with their disco balls covering his head, or people asking Gaile if she likes pie over and over. It might be impossible for Anet to investigate this, but if they can, people like these should have action taken against them.

unless you can get in a guild of only people you were IRL friends with before this game came out, i'd say you can't 100% trust really anyone. It's really the difference, though, of being in one you can trust 90%, 99%, or 99.9%

if ppl got banned for asking somebody whether she likes pie then i think the guy should get a warning for unsporting behaviour

Thanks everyone for the input.
I'm deeply sorry for posting the player's name...I didn't know the rules regarding such actions (I'm a boon).
I was excited that a gold weapon dropped for me, particularly since that is fairly rare with the Queen Farm. At any rate, I grabbed a couple of henchies and completed the farming....with nothing really to show for it. Ugh...I'll do it again tomorrow and maybe my luck will be better.
Again...thanks everyone for the input...it's greatly appreciated.

One thing: If a scarabe dropped the gold sword, most likely it wasn't something special. And WHAT ELSE do you expect from a PUG group>? although still there is and never has been any rules on farming or stealing items which are not in the possession of the person in the start.

That has to be a REALLLLLLLLLLYYYYYYYY ga'damn shame that you can't trust your guildies. Even to a certain degree.
Makes me glad that our guild has rules, regulations and prescreening to keep those kinds of turds out of the guild. Its not fool proof but it works 98% of the time.

You're missing the bigger point...
I'm fairly new at this game, so I didn't realize that such things happened in this environment. It was a learning experience, but for you to assume I know what was going to happen (or could happen) doesn't exactly help the situation.
It wasn't about the sword, or it's value (however, gold drops tend to be more 'valuable' than any other drops)....it's the simple fact that someone would stoop low enough to wait out the alloted time and grab a weapon that wasn't designated to them.

It's simply a fast you should try to live with. EVERY MMORPG has gold farmers, spawn farmers, leechers, and stupid PUGs. Although I AM NOT SAYING PUGS ARE STUPID, just saying some stupid people are PUGs. I am a PUG in many PvE areas, although I usually start groups, since I just know the right build for the area.
JUST IN CASE YOU REALLLY WANT TO REPORT SOMEONE, DO NOT USE SUPPORT.
Instead use this email address posted on Arena.Net Website
Name Reports: Reports of Inappropriate character or guild name [email protected]

It's sad, but now you know that there are scumbags in the game.

My simple suggestion:
Put the guy in your friends list and continually spam whisp him with inane comments such as:
How is my sword going?
Stolen anybody else's sword lately?
When can you return my sword to me?
I have found a better sword, thank you!
Remember me, I was the donor of your sword!
Etc Etc
How to p155 people off in one easy lesson!

Can't they just ignore you (put you on ignore list), but those comments made me laugh out loud.
